ABB Single-arm YuMi can be set up like its larger counterpart, YuMi, with intuitive Lead-Through Programming. This means that the operator can hand-guide the robot to "teach" movements and positions. Combined with the robot's general versatility, this ease of programming allows manufacturers to address skill shortages - quickly and easily. It also lowers the barriers to entry for small and medium-sized companies who have not yet deployed robots.
The YuMi family of robots is extremely versatile and can be combined in a variety of configurations. For example, single-arm YuMi can be used to feed parts to the two-arm YuMi, or as an extra arm for complex assembly tasks that require more than two robot arms.
Single-arm YuMi offers a payload of 500 g and a reach of 559 mm.
