Cobot Bases

Cobot platforms provide the mechanical foundation for the use of collaborative robots. These include cobot tables for safe assembly, lifting columns for greater vertical reach, and linear axes for expanding the workspace. This allows each cobot to be optimally integrated into its specific application.

What is a cobot platform?

A cobot platform forms the foundation for the practical use of a collaborative robot. The cobot itself performs the actual task—but without a stable mounting, sufficient reach, and freedom of movement, its potential often goes untapped. This is exactly where cobot platforms come in: They ensure that the robot stands securely, works in the right place, and can expand its range of motion as needed.

In this category, you’ll find the key components that allow a cobot to be integrated into virtually any work environment. The solutions are compatible with common cobot models and can be flexibly adapted to different requirements.

Cobot Tables as a Stable Base

Cobot tables provide a firm and secure mounting surface for the robot. They are designed to reliably absorb the forces generated during operation and keep the cobot in a stable position. They often offer additional space for control systems, workpieces, or accessories—thereby creating a compact, ready-to-use workstation.

Typical applications include assembly work, machine loading, or quality inspection, where the robot operates from a fixed location.

Lifting Columns for Greater Vertical Reach

Lifting columns expand the cobot’s working range in height. They move the robot up or down, thereby increasing its vertical reach—a decisive advantage for tasks performed across multiple height levels.

The benefits are particularly evident in palletizing: As a pallet is stacked layer by layer, the lifting column moves the cobot along with it, allowing it to safely reach upper layers. This enables applications that the robot could not handle on its own from a fixed height.

Linear axes for a larger working area

Linear axes move the cobot horizontally along a defined path. The robot is thus no longer confined to a single point but can serve multiple stations or cover a larger area.

This allows, for example, a single cobot cell to be expanded so that the robot can load multiple machines in succession or operate across a long work surface. Linear axes increase flexibility and enable applications that would otherwise not be possible with a cobot’s fixed reach radius.

The Right Platform for Your Application

Whether it’s a fixed workstation, additional height, or an expanded range of motion—the right combination of table, lifting column, and linear axis determines how efficiently a cobot can be deployed. Since the components are compatible with standard cobots, they can be tailored specifically to the task at hand and expanded as requirements grow.

This transforms a collaborative robot into a complete, ready-to-use automation solution.
