The PoWa 30 from ABB is a six-axis collaborative robot from the CRB-1920 series designed for industrial applications requiring a higher payload capacity. Its reach is 1.35 m at the wrist and 1.52 m at the flange. The rated payload is 30 kg; in the wrist-down configuration, payloads of up to 32 kg can be handled.

At the rated payload, the PoWa 30 achieves a maximum TCP speed of 3.9 m/s. With a payload of 1 kg, speeds of up to 6.0 m/s are possible. The pose repeatability is 0.03 mm, and the path repeatability is 0.1 mm. The robot weighs 61 kg and has an IP67 protection rating.

The Wizard Easy Programming app can be used on the FlexPendant for programming and commissioning. Motion sequences can be created using a block-based user interface. In addition, programmable buttons are available on the robot arm. Integration with ABB solutions such as RobotStudio and AppStudio supports further steps in planning, configuration and programming.

The PoWa 30 is also designed for flexible applications when it comes to tool integration. Grippers and vision systems can be integrated simultaneously, enabling a variety of tasks to be carried out with relatively little installation effort. Typical areas of application include material handling, machine feeding, palletising, assembly and screwdriving processes.
