The PoWa 16 from ABB is a six-axis collaborative robot from the CRB 1920 series designed for industrial automation tasks. It has a reach of 1.96 m at the wrist and 2.10 m at the flange. The rated payload is 16 kg; in the wrist-down configuration, payloads of up to 17 kg can be handled.

At the rated payload, the PoWa 16 achieves a maximum TCP speed of 5.2 m/s; with a payload of 1 kg, speeds of up to 7.0 m/s are possible. The pose repeatability is 0.03 mm. The robot weighs 63 kg and is fully protected against dust and water to IP67 standard.

The Wizard Easy Programming app on the FlexPendant is available for set-up and programming. Applications can be created using a block-based user interface. In addition, the robot features programmable buttons on the arm and can be integrated into ABB software solutions such as RobotStudio and AppStudio.

Grippers and vision systems can be connected simultaneously via the integrated tool interface. The plug-and-play integration of compatible components can reduce installation effort and the need for external cabling. In combination with the compact OmniCore E10 controller, the PoWa 16 is therefore designed for a variety of automation tasks requiring reach, higher payloads and flexible tool connectivity.
