The AGIBOT A2 Ultra is a life-size humanoid robot designed for commercial applications involving direct human-robot interaction. It can be used in areas such as customer service, reception, trade fair appearances, consultancy, entertainment, event promotion and demonstration scenarios.

Standing 169 cm tall and weighing 69 kg, the robot is modelled on human proportions. Its design is modular, allowing external housing elements to be adapted depending on the application. This enables the robot to be integrated into a variety of environments and usage contexts.

More than 40 active degrees of freedom are available for movement and manipulation tasks. Each of the two arms has 7 degrees of freedom and operates using a force-position hybrid control system. In addition, dexterous hands, each with 19 degrees of freedom, are fitted, enabling more precise grasping and interactive movements. The turning radius is approximately 60 cm.

To perceive its surroundings, the A2 Ultra is equipped with several sensor systems. These include, amongst others, LiDAR, RGB-D cameras, fisheye cameras, stereo cameras, a microphone array, visual fingertip sensors, force and torque sensors, as well as an IMU and gyroscope. This equipment supports functions such as autonomous navigation, facial recognition, sound source localisation and interaction in acoustically challenging environments.

Interaction is based on WorkGPT and ActionGPT. This enables voice commands, dialogues and movement sequences to be processed or generated. The combination of large language model capabilities and RAG technology also enables the robot to be used with company-specific knowledge databases. Full-duplex communication is provided for conversations.

Power is supplied by a 700 Wh battery with a runtime of approximately 2 hours. The battery supports hot-swapping and fast charging, enabling longer operating times through the use of replacement batteries or tailored charging cycles. The integrated computing power is 200 TOPS.

On the software side, the robot is based on the AimRT framework, a C++20-based runtime system that supports various communication protocols such as ROS2, HTTP, gRPC, MQTT and Zenoh. SDKs and APIs are available for custom development. AimRT is available as an open-source project.

The AgiBot A2 Ultra is designed for professional applications that combine movement, speech, perception and autonomous interaction. Compared to simpler models in the series, it offers more comprehensive sensor technology, greater mobility, integrated AI functions and additional options for custom application development.
