Safe and reliable
The cobots from Kassow Robots have built-in force-torque sensors that recognise impacts and abnormal forces. The sensors stop the robot if it is overloaded.
Robot Image
speed
Kassow robots move at a speed of up to 225 degrees per second on all 7 axes. Higher robot speeds significantly increase production output and therefore expand the range of tasks that can be performed.

True to the motto "strong, fast, simple", Kassow Robots develops and produces uniquely efficient industrial collaborative lightweight robots with 7 axes.

The cobots from Kassow Robots with payloads of up to 18 kilograms and reaches of up to 1800 millimetres are extremely powerful, fast and even suitable for use in small spaces thanks to their manoeuvrability. They also enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to realise simple and complex automation flexibly, independently and cost-effectively.

The technology is based on extraordinarily strong joints which, thanks to the 7th axis, also enable lateral movements and optimally replicate the motor skills of human arms - this innovation has been combined with simple, intuitive programming and operation based on familiar standard tablet technology. The cobots were developed by a team led by company founder and CEO Kristian Kassow, who has previously made a significant impact on the industry with his robotics developments.
With a payload of 18 kg, the KR1018 is the strongest of Kassow's collaborative robots.

6 axes good, 7 axes better

Most modern robotic arms only have six axes of movement. Unlike most other manufacturers, the Cobot KR1018 from Kassow Robots offers a 7th axis as a special feature - combined with unrivalled efficiency. These 7 fully controlled axes enable significantly more flexibility, because the robot arms can reproduce the motor skills of real human arms much better and can even reach around corners. The result: more flexibility in movements.

A robot with curves

In addition, the special kinematics of the cobots from Kassow Robots mean that they can easily follow a given path - not just straight lines, but also curves - at a given speed. This means that the cobot can also be used for welding, gluing and other tasks that require a non-linear application at a constant speed without "settling".

A truly collaborative robot

The Kassow KR1018 is a lightweight collaborative robot. It is designed to work together with humans in an industrial environment. Following a risk analysis, the robot can work with no or no major safety restrictions, allowing it to work with or collaborate with other employees.

Innovative interface

The Kassow KR1018 cobot is easy to operate and programme, and even small and medium-sized companies can do this independently. In addition, intelligent features such as a Data Ethernet connection have been built into these 7-axis cobots as standard.

Edge Edition

The KR1018 is also available in the Edge Edition, in which the controller is compactly integrated into the base of the robot and an external control cabinet is no longer required. This variant was specially developed for mobile applications with AGVs and AMRs and is particularly easy to integrate on vehicles and in compact cells thanks to its standardised, small footprint. The cobot is powered directly by a DC power supply (42-58 VDC) or batteries and offers remote power on/off so that it can be conveniently controlled via the vehicle or a PLC. Once programmed, the arm can run in automatic mode without a teach pendant, enabling particularly lean, robust and low-maintenance setups. The Edge Edition thus combines the proven performance and 7-axis flexibility of the KR1018 with one of the most compact, mobile cobot solutions on the market.
