The ABB IRB 1100 is an industrial robot designed for applications with a payload of up to 4 kg and a reach of 580 mm. With a compact and space-saving design, the IRB 1100 requires around 10% less floor space and weighs 20% less than previous models, making it particularly suitable for tight working environments. These features enable flexible installation, for example in electronics manufacturing where multiple robots can work closely together.

The robot is equipped with ABB's OmniCore™ controller and has advanced motion control capabilities that qualify it for fast assembly, pick & place and handling applications. The IRB 1100 is also available in an IP67-rated version, which protects it against the ingress of dust and water. In addition, there is an ISO 14644-1 certified cleanroom version of the IRB 1100, which has been specially developed for use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, the electronics industry and in semiconductor and solar panel production.

The main applications of the IRB 1100 include assembly and testing, loading and unloading, screwing, polishing and deburring. The robot is designed to increase efficiency and flexibility in different production environments.
