The CoBot SmartMagGrip E30 from Magswitch is a magnetic gripping tool specially developed for collaborative robotics applications. It combines the functions of the Magswitch E series, including the continuously adjustable magnetic field strength (Variable Field Output, VFO) and integrated sensor technology. The VFO allows the magnetic force to be adjusted between 0 % and 100 % in order to securely grip and place single or multiple parts. The sensor technology ensures that the correct part is recognised and picked up, which increases process reliability.

Programming is carried out via a simple learning process in which the parts to be gripped are taught to the tool. The SmartMagGrip E30 offers direct integration into Universal Robots and Fanuc CRX through dedicated plugins with RS-485 communication.

In addition, the gripper has a simple calibration function that ensures precise adjustment of the magnetic force. The LED indicators on the device signal various operating statuses, such as the magnetic status.
