The MG10 from MagBot is a magnetic gripper designed for pick-and-place and transfer tasks involving ferromagnetic workpieces. The workpiece is held directly by the magnetic poles, meaning that no separate vacuum system is required for the gripping process.

The switchable magnet technology requires electrical power only for gripping and releasing. The permanent magnet structure then holds the workpiece without a continuous power supply, even in the event of a power cut. The entire N/S pole surface must be in contact with the workpiece, as air gaps significantly reduce the achievable holding force. A cylindrical sensor is available as an option to monitor the switching state.

The MG10 has a load capacity of 10 kgf or 98 N and a repeatability of ±0.05 mm. Its dimensions are Ø 57 × 46 mm and it weighs 565 g. Gripping and releasing each take approximately 200 ms at 24 V and 2 A. The gripper is designed for temperatures ranging from −10 to 60 °C and a relative humidity of 0 to 80 per cent, non-condensing. The protection class is IP45, with IP56 available as an option.
