The 2D Machine Vision midiCam2 from SICK is ideally suited for use on the Sensor Integration Machine (SIM) supporting complex image processing tasks and in harsh industrial environments. For this purpose, the midiCam2 features an M12 GigE interface - the standard for industrial image processing - as well as industrial-grade M12 connections for power supply and trigger signals. Alternatively, Power over Ethernet (PoE) allows operation with only one cable up to 100 m long.

The midiCam2 is also available with 3.15 - 5.01 or 12.29 megapixel resolution as color and monochrome variants. CMOS image sensors use global shutter technology and allow multiple image cropping (AOI). The internal 128 MB memory decouples image acquisition and transmission to support multi-camera applications. The 2D Machine Vision midiCam2 is a good supporter for automated vision applications in industries such as automotive, robotics, logistics, electronics, solar, food and beverage, for quality inspection, traceability and object detection.
