The Bota Systems Robotics AI Training Platform is a hardware and software platform for data acquisition in robotic AI applications within the field of manipulation. It is designed to capture demonstration data from real human-robot interactions, utilising in particular force and tactile feedback as additional sources of information. This makes the platform particularly suitable for applications in which physical interactions need to be precisely recorded and used for training AI models.

The solution combines various components into a single system. These include, amongst others, force-torque sensors, tactile sensors, cameras, robot interfaces, and software for capturing and managing the resulting data. Both robot data – such as joint states, Cartesian movements and forces at the tool – and visual information, as well as voice or text-based inputs, can be consolidated to provide a broad data foundation for AI-supported robotic applications.

For data acquisition, the platform relies on methods such as haptic teleoperation and kinesthetic teaching. This is complemented by a user interface that supports a structured workflow for recording, live observation and management of individual demonstration episodes. Overall, the platform is designed to provide high-quality and physically meaningful data for data-driven manipulation applications.
