The FR5-WML from Fairino is a collaborative six-axis robot designed for welding applications with a large working range. With a payload of 5 kg, a reach of 1,900 mm and a repeatability of ±0.1 mm, it covers up to 51 per cent more reach than the FR5 in the same payload class. The sixth axis features a conductive slip ring and allows ±360° torsion-free rotation for welding seams from multiple angles.

Weighing no more than 45 kg, the FR5-WML is designed for use in production lines. Typical applications include welding tasks in steel construction, shipbuilding and the manufacture of heavy machinery and plant — often without the need to reposition the base frequently.

It can be programmed via an intuitive web interface without any programming knowledge, or via SDKs for Python, C#, C++ and ROS/ROS2. Common industrial protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP and CC-Link are supported. The IP54 protection rating, with an optional IP65 rating, covers a range of production environments.

Scope of supply: cobot, control box, safety box and mains cable (AC). A teach pendant is available as an option. The welding torch, wire feeder and power source are not included in the scope of supply.
