Schmalz ECBPi vacuum generator
The ECBPi is an intelligent and autonomous electric vacuum generator for lightweight robots and cobots. It is available for a wide range of robot brands and also as a ready-to-connect handling set including flange, gripper and connection cabling.
The system offers a powerful solution for compressed air-free vacuum generation. Core applications include the handling of suction-tight or slightly porous workpieces in mobile robotics, fully automated small parts handling, and stationary handling tasks.

Ready to connect set for many common robot types
In addition to the vacuum generator, the ECBPi handling sets also contain the matching flange as well as connection cables and grippers. This means that the system can be set up quickly and put into operation immediately.
Flexible exchange of the gripper
The suction unit is attached to the vacuum generator by a flange with a bayonet lock. This allows the suction unit to be changed without tools. The suction unit can be replaced by a preconfigured 2-piece or 4-piece unit. In addition, a starter set with 120 parts can be purchased for setting up a freely configurable suction unit.
An intelligent vacuum generator with IO-Link and NFC interface
The IO-Link interface is used to control, regulate, and monitor the handling process. The NFC interface allows the operator to directly transfer data to his or her smartphone for easy access to process information and device settings.
Vacuum generation right on the tool
Electric vacuum generation completely eliminates the need for the costly routing of cables and hoses.

Using an NFC interface, data can be conveniently transferred from the device to an operator's smartphone and read out there.
Condition monitoring helps to reduce the potential for errors in the system and improves overall system availability. With the help of automatic suction power adjustment, the vacuum generator is particularly energy-efficient. This helps to reduce operating costs over total service life.
