A payload of up to 20 kg (44.1 lb) makes the VGP20 from OnRobot the most powerful electric vacuum gripper in the world. Ideal for the fast and cost-efficient automation of palletising of cardboard packaging, but also for handling bulky and porous objects with non-uniform shapes. The VGP20 offers unlimited possibilities for customisation. It can therefore be used to automate a wide range of diverse applications that previously required pneumatic grippers. In addition, the costs are reduced to a fraction.

The VGP20 enables savings of up to 90% in operating and maintenance costs compared to the provision of pneumatic grippers. Like all other OnRobot grippers, the VGP20 comes fully equipped with everything needed for quick and easy deployment on any model from leading robot manufacturers. The integrated information functions and easy-to-use software ensure precise airflow control and enable the user to customise the gripper for each application and material type.

Even multiple objects of different shapes and sizes are no problem for the gripper. The powerful vacuum flow ensures that even porous objects can be gripped. These include thin-walled and therefore more cost-effective cardboard boxes made from recycled material or lightweight shipping bags. This not only reduces costs for the shipping company, but also the amount of waste.

One of the integrated options allows the air flow of the gripper to be continuously monitored. If the vacuum is lost, for whatever reason, the robot stops immediately and a pop-up window in the gripper software alerts the user to the incident.
