Compact housing and outstanding data quality through 3D time-of-flight technology

Automation applications for robotics, transport vehicles and logistics are determined by precise and reliable 2D and 3D distance data. It is important that vision systems can be seamlessly integrated into the respective machine design, even when installation space is limited. The Visionary-T Mini combines high performance with compact design and high cost efficiency. For data evaluation, the 3D vision sensor provides, among other things, detailed 2D and 3D point clouds with high pixel density. Automatic operating modes facilitate its machine integration and ensure conceivably simple handling.

At home in numerous industrial applications

The Visionary-T Mini 3D vision sensor was produced specifically for fast 3D environment detection in dynamic industrial applications. For example, in automated guided vehicles (AGVs), the sensor captures their environment at 30 images per second, even over long distances. With reference to robotics applications, the 2D and 3D images serve as a basis for palletizing and picking tasks, for example. The Visionary-T Mini can also support you in statistical applications such as completeness checks on packaging machines.

Precise 3D data in real time - thanks to time-of-flight technology

The Visionary-T Mini uses modern time-of-flight technology for distance measurement. In this process, a modulated infrared light is emitted and reflected by the object back towards the sensor. Based on the phase shift of the light, the distance between sensor and object can be precisely calculated. Different phase shifts correspond to different distances. The individual pixels thus provide a detailed, three-dimensional distance and infrared intensity image of the detected area.

It delivers highly accurate 3D and 2D data with high pixel density for detailed and reliable environment detection. Another advantage is that it can capture precise data even from moving objects due to very short image acquisition time.
