Handling parts and packages with the OnRobot Dual Quick Changer
In the video
Most processes are multi-step processes and require a variety of tools. Generally, a robot will only have one tool attached to the arm, greatly limiting the number of tasks it can perform.
Instead of using a second robot, an integrated changer, like OnRobot's Quick Changer, can be implemented and allow the robot to perform multiple disparate tasks.
In this example use case, we see a UR3e cobot from Universal Robots decked out with an OnRobot Dual Quick Changer, as well as an RG2 gripper and VG10 vacuum gripper.
With the RG2 the robot can pack a box with plastic parts and then switch to the VG10 and move the box.
One can see all the tools needed to build such a solution below, plus their respective prices.
