About Yuanda Robotics

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Hannover, Germany, Yuanda is headed by businessmen and engineers from two of the world’s leading adopters and producers of Robots –  Germany and China. Their goal is to combine the best of both worlds and this can be seen in the functonality of their headline robot, the Yu.

The Yu is a result of this hybrid mentality. It is a modern, effective, and capable collaborative robot at an affordable price.

Who are Yu

Designed in Germany by a team of German and Chinese engineers, the Yuanda Robotics Yu is a formidable cobot. Starting from the idea of safe collaboration and integrating a number of features designed to create an industry-leading user experience, the Yu is remarkable for its ease of use.

Key statistics

Reach: 850mm
Payload: 7kg
Weight: 29kg
Linear speed: 1.2 m/s

Ready out of the box

When you first receive your Yuanda Yu, one of the first things that you’ll discover is that there’s no assembly required. It’s ready to go out-of-the box. Just unpack it, plug it in, and you’re ready to start programming your process. Which, as you’ll find, is significantly easier than you might think!

Easy to use, easy to change

The Yuanda Robotics Yu’s intuitiveness is noticeable from the get-go.

Perhaps the most notable factor contributing to the Yu’s remarkable ease of use is its plug-and-play accessories architecture. Not only is the Yu simple to set up but adding and exchanging end-of-arm accessories is simple and intuitive. The Yu’s integrated software package is designed to recognize third-party grippers and tools automatically, making the repurposing of the Yu cobot as simple as possible.

The Yuanda Yu is also teachable – it takes hands-on learning very seriously! Programming the cobot for a new workflow is designed to be extremely easy and doesn’t even require coding experience. Operators can simply use 3D illustrations and drag-and-drop commands to put together the new workflow.

An eye to see

Another key facet of the Yu cobot is the fact that it comes with an integrated camera at the end of the arm. Yuanda has developed an advanced vision system that allows the Yu to, among other things, detect and save objects, perform quality control, detect changes and disturbances in the work process, etc.

These out-of-the-box features make for a powerful collaboration experience at a reasonable cost.

Potential use cases

With an accuracy of 0.05mm, the Yu can be used for a number of sensitive tasks (though not in a lab, as the robot is not designed to work in a clean room environment).

With its relatively high payload, it can be used for a large number of pick and place use cases as well as for machine tending, palletizing, and more.
